Managing your candidature
As an ANU HDR candidate, you are responsible for the management of your program. There are various aspects that require consideration during your time with us. Candidates are required to meet satisfactory academic progress through the completion of a number of progress milestones.
There are also rules and guidelines that govern your responsibilities and requirements as a candidate. Candidates have the ultimate responsibility for their candidature, but ANU has responsibility for supporting them throughout their time with the University.
Research activities & travel approval
There are multiple research activities you may pursue throughout your candidature such as fieldwork, research visits at other institutions and participation in research conferences.
Fieldwork is considered part of your candidature. You remain enrolled during the absence from campus. All HDR candidates must complete the appropriate training before commencing fieldwork.
