Student entrepreneurship
ANU fosters student entrepreneurship with a range of internal educational programs and other innovation resources, including:
InnovationACT: Free two-month student entrepreneurship program, with workshops, expert seminars, mentorship and a $10,000 grant pool.
ANU Makerspace: A community available to ANU staff and students, providing users with resources to experiment, investigate, prototype and solve problems.
TechLauncher: A course from the ANU College of Engineering, Computing & Cybernetics that enables students to use their theoretical knowledge and computer science skills, and apply it to a real-world research project.
We also work closely with Canberra's innovation and start-up communities to ensure students have easy access to relevant networks beyond the University.
Canberra Innovation Network (CBRIN) runs regular events for the innovation community, such as the “First Wednesday Connect” networking events, where researchers can engage with industry.
The Mill House Ventures runs a social enterprise accelerator designed to accelerate the business growth and impact of not-for-profit and for-profit social ventures.
